Yep, we've got the swine flu at our house! Just Alex for now. It's very mild, but because he has Asthma, we had to get Tamiflu to "help it" out of his body. Honestly, the symptoms were quite mild....started on Saturday with headache, fever, burning eyes, and achy body.....continued on and threw in a little throw up in the mix....this continued on until this morning. This morning we added a cough, but took away the upset stomach. I was taking Will to the Dr. for a physical this morning, so I thought I'd just go ahead and make an appt for Alex as well. They did a culture and it's the swine flu...He looks great, and is eating, and just the cough right now! So if you even just think it's a run of the mill flu (which I did) and you have a more susceptible person (young, old, asthma, lower immune system, etc) go ahead and just be sure....take them to the dr's office.
I was told today that they are NOT really sure of the incubation time, it seems to "cycle back around", AND if it gets bad at all....direct to the DR. or the ER.....no fooling around with it!
FYI-I had to call 10+ pharmacies in the area to find one that actually had the Tamiflu in stock!
Thanks for all your good thoughts and prayers.
